Telephone numbers that begin with 01 and 02 give your businesses a local feel, even if your business is not in that particular area code. Your callers only pay a local rate, in some cases the cost is zero or taken from a monthly network bundle they have. However, you, the owner of the number will be charged to receive these calls.
The table below outlines the costs to you if you choose to operate a local number along with associated routing options.
NUMBER PRICING BAND - All our 01 and 02 Geographical numbers are sorted into pricing bands, ranging from Standard to Platinum Plus. The more expensive the band the more memorable the number (based on our pattern-matching algorithms)
SETUP FEE - This is the initial fee you pay to set the number up. It's a one-off fee.
MONTHLY FEE - This is the fee you pay on a monthly basis for each number that's live. The fee rises the higher the pricing band, and it entitles you to a number of bundled minutes (when routed to a UK landline).
BUNDLED LANDLINE MINUTES - These are the number of UK landline minutes included each month with the number. The higher your monthly service fee, the more free minutes you'll get:
This means that the cost of calls within the bundled minutes allocation can be under 1ppm!
COST OF EXCESS LANDLINE MINUTES - This is the cost in pence per minute (ppm) to receive calls on your 01/02 number, once your allocation of bundled minutes is used up. This varies, depending on where you are sending the calls, but to a UK landline costs 1.8ppm.
Costs to route your 01/02 number to a mobile phone
To route your 01 or 02 number to a UK mobile phone number you will have to pay an activation fee of £9.95 plus £4.95 per month. Once this is paid your 01 or 02 number will be made live. You will then be charged a pence-per-minute rate based on your mobile network operator.
Your mobile routing call charges bill is generated monthly and if it is over £1.00, charged to your credit card or direct debit within 14 days of the billing date (1st of every calendar month). If your monthly call charges bill is less than £1.00 it is carried over to the next months bill.
You can change your terminating number at any time, free of charge in your number management panel.
See the table below for 01/02 mobile routing rates.
This table shows how much it will cost per minute to route your 01/02 number to a UK mobile phone, based on what network you use.
For example, if you wish to route your 01/02 number to a UK EE mobile number, it would cost you:
Routing Your Local Rate Number to an International Number
You can have your Local Rate Number routed through to an International number (landline or mobile). Calls will still be exactly the same price as for callers, regardless of where you have routed the number to.
There is a one-off charge of £9.95 to set up international routing to your account, plus a monthly charge of £2.50 per number, or alternatively you can activate the feature account-wide for all the numbers in your account for a setup fee of £49.95 and £9.95 per month.
You will also have to pay a higher pence per minute charge to receive calls on your international number. To determine this ppm charge please contact us to check your desired international routing.
